What is CAKE?
CAKE is a new industry platform built to help wedding professionals build trusted event teams through curated matches with top colleagues. We make it simple, streamlined, and stress-free to find aligned team members — because dream teams are our standard.
Who is CAKE for?
CAKE currently supports photographers, videographers, and planners — but this is just the beginning. As we grow, we'll be expanding to include even more creative categories. If you're outside those areas and need help with your team, send us a note at support@cakeunited.com — we'll do our best to make it happen.
How is CAKE different from other job boards or hiring platforms?
CAKE is the first platform in the industry to offer true matchmaking. We're not a job board where anyone can post and reply — leaving you sifting through unvetted options or hearing crickets. CAKE does the work for you, getting your request in front of the right eyes only. Built by industry pros, we value quality over quantity, alignment over availability, and trusted connections over chance.
Are there public profiles?
No — CAKE does not have public or searchable profiles. Whether you're hiring or looking for work, each member's profile remains private and is only shared when included in a curated shortlist.
At CAKE, we believe alignment matters. Every match is intentional, built on trust and fit — not algorithms or open listings.
How do I submit a request?
Requests are currently invite-only while we refine our process and grow intentionally. That said, if you're in a bind or have an urgent need, reach out and we'll see if we can help: support@cakeunited.com
How are matches made?
Once you submit a request, we do the heavy lifting. CAKE reaches out to trusted creatives, confirms availability, rates, and details, and then sends you a curated shortlist tailored to your event. Depending on the type of request — Standard or Urgent — your shortlist will include 2–6 aligned creatives to choose from. All you have to do is review, choose who feels like the best fit, and head into your event with confidence.
How quickly can I expect matches?
Standard requests (for events more than 4 weeks out): 3–5 business days.
Urgent requests (for events within 4 weeks): 1–2 days or sooner
Requests sent Friday–Sunday may take a bit longer since most of the industry is onsite for events and we're waiting to confirm availability before finalizing your shortlist. We'll be in touch as soon as everything's confirmed and ready to go.
For Creatives
What happens after I sign up?
Once you're in our network, we'll be in touch when an event matches your experience, skills, and style. You'll get an email directly from us with all the details so you can confirm if it's a fit.

We're also rolling out new tools soon to help you showcase your expertise — so keep an eye out!
Do I have to accept every job?
Not at all. You're in full control. Only say yes to what aligns with your goals and availability.
What should I set my rate at?
Your rate helps us make sure we're sending you opportunities that align with your experience and value. It's for internal use only — we know every event is different, and things like scope, travel, and location all play a role.
When an opportunity comes through, we'll share all the details (and the budget, if provided). You'll always have the option to accept the listed rate or submit your own for consideration. Once you confirm your availability, the hiring partner will only see the rate you've approved.

Can I use CAKE as both a freelancer and someone who hires?
Yes — you'll have one profile with access to both sides. Whether you're leading team or looking for extra work, CAKE keeps it seamless.
Where is CAKE available?
We serve professionals nationwide — and even internationally. CAKE has made matches across the U.S. in California, New York, Hawaii, and Texas, as well as abroad in France and Italy. Our network is expanding daily, so don't hesitate to reach out if you're planning or working an event elsewhere.
How much does CAKE cost?
During our early access phase, it's completely free to sign up. We're currently offering invite-only matches as we grow with a trusted group of early users.
Once we launch fully, CAKE will move to a paid model with flexible membership options — designed to fit how you work, whether you're open to aligned opportunities or booking consistently.
We believe good people deserve better tools. That's why we charge — to protect your privacy, avoid spam, and keep this network intentional, vetted, and valuable. No hidden fees. No gimmicks. Just a trusted space for professionals who take their work seriously.
